Our communities, homeowners, and excavators throughout Minnesota can be at risk due to underground damages. The Minnesota Regional Common Ground Alliance committee was formed as a diverse group of stakeholders dedicated to the common goal of ensuring the safety of those who work or live in the vicinity of underground facilities. We invite others who share these same goals to join the Minnesota Regional CGA as members, and help us raise damage prevention awareness throughout the state.
By joining the Minnesota Regional Common Ground Alliance, you take part in the shared responsibility and cooperation for safety that is so important in the damage prevention community. This pledge will help raise damage prevention awareness and increase the use of best practices throughout Minnesota.
By taking the pledge and becoming a member, you will now be responsible for keeping up to date on several key factors in the Minnesota damage prevention community:
- One Call law
- Regulatory oversight
- Shared responsibility and cooperation for safety
- Communication between Excavators, Utilities, Facility Operators and Locators
- Weather influences
- Work volume patterns
- Advances in technology
