Damage Prevention Meetings

Damage Prevention Meetings (DP meetings) are held by and for the excavation community each year in March and April. They are focused on safe digging and best practices education. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic these meetings will be held virtually this year. Participants have the option to go through the materials on their own by following the Independent Study link or to register for a scheduled virtual discussion. Read below to learn more.

Independent Study

The independent study course has been put together by the Metropolitan Utility Coordinating Committee (MUCC), Gopher State One Call (GSOC) and Minnesota Office of Pipeline Safety (MNOPS) using the platform Coursettra. By registering for a free Coursettra account users have access to all of the meeting materials to go through at their own pace. Please use the registration guide below if you need additional help setting up an account.

Virtual Discussions

For those who would prefer a more guided approach to the training, there are several scheduled virtual discussions where participants are guided through the materials and have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss what is going on in the field. Anyone is invited to join in on these discussions. First come, first served on virtual spots.
